Hitman game in Grand Forks

by patrol

There has been a rash of death threat emails to people in the Grand Forks region of ND. The emails, like every other Extortion Death email, tells the victim that he/she is the hitman group’s next target and they have been paid $650,000 for killing the victim. The email says that if the victim fails to pay $15000 within 24 hours, he/she will be assassinated. The email also says that the victim is being watched all time and hence, cannot contact the police. People in Grand Forks were confused and worried because of such emails until the police intervened and proved it was a scam!

What to do when such an email comes to you? Just use your common sense. Are you worth $650,000? And what should be anyone’s motive in killing you? Also, check if the email has any personal information about you like your name or address. If not, there is no need to worry. It is just a scam. Anyhow, it is safe to inform the police about it.
